If you’re looking for an easy nine-to-five, this probably isn’t for you. Growing vegetables with us means early starts, long days, and working outside in all weathers — rain, shine, wind and everything in between. It’s hard graft, but it’s also incredibly rewarding.

You’ll spend your days surrounded by big skies, sea views and fresh air, watching the seasons change and seeing the fruits of your labour go straight from field to shop. For the right person, it’s a job that feels meaningful, satisfying, and deeply connected to the land.

🌱 ABOUT THE JOB
We’re looking for someone who loves being outdoors, working hard, and being part of a small, friendly team. This is a hands-on, physical role where most of your time will be spent outside in the fields — digging, planting, harvesting, and preparing our vegetables for sale.

You’ll also spend part of your time in our farm shop, restocking the vegetable displays, chatting to customers, and making sure everything looks its best. It’s a rewarding job for someone who enjoys variety, fresh air, and seeing the results of their hard work every day.

✅ WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Enjoys physical, outdoor work in all weathers
• Happy to work both in the field and in the shop
• Friendly, reliable, and willing to get stuck in
• Works well as part of a team and on your own
• Experience in growing or horticulture is a plus — but full training is provided

📆 THE DETAILS

• Permanent position
• Hours: 7.30am – 5.30pm
• Days: Flexible, agreed at the start and guaranteed thereafter
• Rota includes a mix of weekdays and weekends
• Pay: £12.25 per hour (equivalent to £30,300 per year full-time)
• Start date: Immediate
• Location: Ardross Farm Shop, Elie
