I am the eldest of three daughters working in the business and have been managing the shop since 2016. I love food, speaking to people and the environment. I also spend a lot of time in the kitchen at home cooking and baking with my two little boys, so this is my perfect job.

Spring in the Loft Craft Fair

Spring in the Loft Craft Fair

Craft Fair

We are absolutely delighted to have the lovely group from In the Loft back in our loft. They will be hosting a craft fair on Easter Weekend, Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th April, 9am – 5.30pm. Spring in the Loft is back for the first time since before the pandemic. We can’t wait to welcome them after the success of Christmas in the Loft back in November.

We give our loft above the shop to a fantastic group of artists and craft workers for three weekends in the year to organise a craft fair. They host Spring, Summer and Christmas in the Loft. We love supporting other local businesses. Due to the nature of the shop it’s generally food businesses, however the In the Loft events give us a great opportunity to expand this.

We have been working with the lovely businesses for many years now and they never fail to disappoint. There is a huge array of gifts to chose from. Tartan Teuchtars makes beautiful Scottish cards all drawn and painted by hand. Capercaillie Kilts makes kilts, as the name suggests. We are always in awe watching Kathleen’s demonstrations during the fair, what skill it takes to make a kilt! Using up off cuts and bits left over from the kilt making process, she also makes beautiful wreaths, purses and much more.

The two original businesses are then joined by a dynamic group of local artists and craftworkers. The Candle Bothy will be joining us this Easter with hand-poured soy wax candles, melts, reed diffusers. Another lovely local business I Love That will be joining them with beautiful felt figures. There is normally around a dozen local businesses in the loft showcasing a great array of paintings, lamp shades, upholstery, jewelry, pottery, glass wear, ornaments and much more.

Gin Tasting

In addition we have Steven from Eden Mill joining us on the Saturday for a beer and gin tasting 12noon – 3pm. Based just up the road at Gaurdsbridge, Eden Mill produce some of our best selling spirits. Pop along and try their fantastic range of gins, including a new exclusive one designed by Gordon Ramsay!

Takeaway Pizza

We are also delighted to announce that we have The Flaming Pizza Guys on tour in our courtyard from 11am – 7pm. They will be serving wood fired pizzas all afternoon and into the evening. All the dough is made by hand for the day and so to avoid disappointment and give us an idea of numbers, we recommend you book a slot in advance. The menu will be released shortly. To book please contact us by email or phone.

Spring in the Loft is on both days of Easter weekend in our loft. Please note that it’s an old grain loft and so access is up stairs.
