I am the eldest of three daughters working in the business and have been managing the shop since 2016. I love food, speaking to people and the environment. I also spend a lot of time in the kitchen at home cooking and baking with my two little boys, so this is my perfect job.

Production Kitchen Cook / Kitchen Team Member

Ardross Farm Shop, Elie

Do you love cooking? Proper cooking. From scratch. With great ingredients.

Would you like to work in a kitchen with no evening shifts, a lovely team, and food you’re proud to see on the shelves every day?

We’re looking for someone to join our busy production kitchen at Ardross Farm Shop, where we make the soups, ready meals, baking, salads, preserves and desserts that our customers come back for week after week.

This is a hands-on, varied, and busy role in a small, friendly kitchen. One day you might be baking cakes and traybakes, the next making soups and ready meals, the next preparing salads and preserves. No two days are the same.

This role could suit:

  • A chef who’s had enough of restaurant hours
  • A confident home cook looking to turn their passion into a job
  • A school leaver or young person with no experience but a real interest in food and a willingness to learn
  • Someone with kitchen experience who enjoys being busy and part of a supportive team

Full training and guidance will be given to the right person with the right attitude.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Baking cakes, traybakes and desserts
  • Cooking soups, ready meals, salads and preserves
  • Packaging and labelling products for the shop
  • Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and running smoothly
  • Working efficiently as part of a hard-working team

Hours

  • 8.00am – 5.30pm
  • No evenings
  • Some weekend work (the kitchen runs seven days a week)
  • Full time or part time considered
  • A set number of days agreed with you to support a good work/life balance

Pay
Full time hours equate to over £28,500 per year (£12.25 per hour).
Part time hours are paid on a pro-rata basis.

We’re looking for someone reliable, motivated, and with a real pride in producing good food.

If you like the idea of cooking food people genuinely appreciate, in a kitchen where your work goes straight onto the shelves, we’d love to hear from you.

Email us at info@ardrossfarm.co.uk or pop in with a CV and covering letter. We are advertising jobs in the shop and the kitchen at the moment so please clearly let us know what job you are applying for.
