I am the eldest of three daughters working in the business and have been managing the shop since 2016. I love food, speaking to people and the environment. I also spend a lot of time in the kitchen at home cooking and baking with my two little boys, so this is my perfect job.

Easter Lamb

Dry-aged leg of lamb

Taking orders for Easter now

Have you decided what to cook for Easter lunch yet? We are taking orders for our own Pasture for Life assured lamb and mutton and we think Easter lamb is an excellent option when entertaining this year. With restrictions finally easing, we can all celebrate in style and have the whole family round for Easter lunch, the perfect lining before all the chocolate!

Our home grown lamb

Our animals are all raised on our farm and graze the beautiful grasslands just behind Colinsburgh. Reared on 100% grass this is a tasty and nutritious traditional option for Easter. As we lamb outside in the sunshine later than many other farmers our lamb isn’t ‘spring lamb’. Our lamb is older and because of this it has a fantastic depth of flavour.

Dry-aged in the traditional manner our lamb and mutton is then butchered to our specification ready for our customers to enjoy. Whether a tender leg of lamb is your preference, a slow cooked shoulder or a show stopping rack, we can butcher to suit your requirements.

Mutton

If you fancy something with even more depth of flavour and love slow cooking then our mutton may well be the choice for you. It’s incredibly hard to buy mutton now, a meat that many people in Scotland relied upon as a staple in by gone years. We have a regular supply of it in the shop and just like our lamb, it’s all reared on our farm and Pasture for Life certified. Cooking mutton requires a little more time than lamb as it’s slightly tougher. However with a little patience you are rewarded with a meal bursting with rich, complex flavours.

Our lamb and mutton are both incredibly popular at Easter with it being the traditional meat of choice. Therefore we would recommend that you order early to avoid disappointment. To order Easter Lamb please either phone, email or pop into the shop. You can find our contact details here
