I am the eldest of three daughters working in the business and have been managing the shop since 2016. I love food, speaking to people and the environment. I also spend a lot of time in the kitchen at home cooking and baking with my two little boys, so this is my perfect job.

East Neuk Open Studios is back

After two years of uncertainty we are delighted to be an official venue hosting a collection of artists exhibiting in the East Neuk Open Studios. This is a wonderful event held over two weekends.

Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th June
Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd July

Local Artists

East Neuk Open Studios showcases the fantastic range of artists we have living and working here in the East Neuk. Over fifty artists are signed up and exhibiting in forty different venues throughout the East Neuk. This is the perfect time to come and visit our little corner of the world. Venues are spread through the little fishing villages and hamlets along the coast. Kingsbarns to Lower Largo via Crail, Cellardyke, Anstruther, Pittenweem, St Monans and of course here in our loft. Find out who is exhibiting where here. Wander over the cobbles to picturesque harbours, meander up tiny streets to discover the beautiful venues and exciting artwork.

East Neuk of Fife

This part of the world has become home to many wonderful artists and craftworkers. With the photogenic harbours, rich history, crow stepped roofs and beautiful light the East Neuk isn’t too dissimilar to Cornwall, which is famed for it’s art. The Pittenweem Arts Festival is one of the first celebrations of art in our area I remember, however recently lots of our beautiful terracotta roofed villages have celebrated with festivals and fairs. Three times a year we also host the ‘In the Loft’ events showcasing local artists and craftworkers. The ENOS is unique in bringing all the villages together to showcase the whole area at once.

The weather looks beautiful for this weekend, at least, and while crowds are heading into Edinburgh for the Royal Highland Show, the ENOS promises to be a more laid back affair. Meander around the venues while enjoying the abundance of local food available. From freshly cooked lobster at Crail Harbour, award winning fish and chips in Anstruther, sumptuous hot chocolate in Pittenweem to wine with a view in Elie.

Exhibitors

The artists that are exhibiting in our loft are:

Anita Stewart
Frances Donald
Joan Creevy
Lavinia Kilbride
Renate Heath
Victoria Clarke

Opening hours are the same as our shop. 9am – 5.30pm Saturday and Sunday. Access to our loft is in our shop and up the stairs in the vegetable area.
