I am the eldest of three daughters working in the business and have been managing the shop since 2016. I love food, speaking to people and the environment. I also spend a lot of time in the kitchen at home cooking and baking with my two little boys, so this is my perfect job.

Do you know where your food comes from?

Connecting people back to their food

We absolutely love helping people connect with their food again. Whether it’s our own home grown meat and veg or the hundreds of small suppliers we support. Encouraging people to get back in the kitchen and cook with real ingredients, made by real people, is what we are passionate about. Real food is grown and eaten without first being processed. Real food has a couple of ingredients, or no ingredients. Real food nourishes you from the inside out.

Experience fresh food at it’s best

Visit us and experience vegetables freshly picked from our fields dripping with dew, well matured grass-fed beef marbled to perfection, warm bread delivered straight from the baker, award winning artisan cheese, apple juice pressed from fruit growing a few miles away, oatcakes handmade by local people and nutrient dense flour grown just along the road.

Hopefully everyone knows that what you eat has huge implications for your physical and mental well-being. However what you may not realise is what you put in your basket and where you buy it from also has massive implications for the environment, local communities, wildlife, your local economy and so much more. Food is incredibly important. Why do you think so many multinational companies produce food?
